For 2019–2020 academic session, the Board will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State.

Date of Examination: 26th May 2019 (Sunday)

Online Application: 26/12/2018 to 22/01/19

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN WBJEE

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 from Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as passing subject with individual passing mark in both theory and practical .
  • Must have atleast 45% (40% in case of candidate  from reserved category like ST,SC,OBC,PwD) taken all three subject together .
  • Board of the qualifying examination must be recognised by state government or central government

PAPER 1 MATHEMATICS

PAPER 2 PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY COMBINED

  • A candidate appearing in qualifying examination may sit in WBJEE but shall not be eligible for seat allotment if He/She does not qualify the qualifying exam

The application fee is INR 500 which can be deposited either by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Paytm or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan.

SCORING METHODOLOGY

Category 1

  • Only 1 option is correct.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • ¼ marks will be deducted on marking incorrect response.

Category 2

  • Only 1 option is correct.
  • Each question carries 2 marks.
  • ½ marks will be deducted on marking incorrect response.

Category 3

  • 1 or more options may be correct.
  • Only all correct response will fetch 2 marks.
  • Combination of correct and incorrect response will be treated incorrect.
  • Partially correct answer: total marks = 2 X (no. of correct options/total no. of correct options)
